I’m happy you like it Jeris! As you know, I love this song! I had fun. I tried to enhance the sound of your vocal. I featured the piano a bit more than your original mix too because I just love what you do there. And I tweaked the guitar solo a bit to take out some notes that were not harmonizing too well (to my ears at least). Thanks for sharing your great music with us!

You have brightened it up nicely with just the proper amount of angelic. I really like that piano part too. I hadn’t realized he had all those stems up. Now I do, now I got.

Thanks Deb. I always appreciate a “how I did it too.” It’s kind of like reading the cereal box at breakfast.

The new chorus is really great. Would you upload your angelic voice?

Thanks. It makes me happy to hear you like it.

I uploaded the dry background vocals in both mp3 and flac formats. There are a lot of files as most parts are doubled.

Yes… lovely additions and arrangement! It’s always a treat to hear your voice… and how fun when you bring the funk!

Thanks Kara. The arrangement and funk is all Jeris. But I did have fun playing with him, that is certain!

Awesome additions to Out Of Body, SJ. It sounds like a recording of a live gig. I can the the the background singers swaying in unison. The lead singer needs to come out from that keyboard from time to time though ;)

Ah, beautiful! I didn’t hear the sources, but there is a lot going on here. A very loose multi-vocal part, loose in a fascinating way, I am amazed at how many parts are there (7-8??) and I am totally blown away by this looseness; a wah funkablues guitar from the start with a good solo and just the right sound; a very busy drum track that seems to be late in the rolls but always sharp in time on the beat; a bright sparkling jazzy piano with groovy synchopated notes; and an original chord progression and gorgeous female refrain in the composition. Well, all the contributors should be credited in this review, Jeris, Haskel, BillRay, but I believe the final product is here.

Grazie! The music is all Jeris from his track which used a Bill Ray drum sample and Hej31 guitars. The keys and male vocal are his. I just added the female vocals and did some tweaking. So glad you like it!

Like stepping into a time machine to the early 1970’s. Lots of great elements to this song, and a rich mix with lots of different sounds.

What a beautifull song by Jeris and I love your attributions to this!!
Love to read how you’re picking up on the technical aspect of producing. It keeps on getting better

Just listened to jeris’ version and you did a great job with his vocals and the piano part. Only çritical’note for me is that the bass part lost the fullness it had in the original.
But nonetheless great job!!
