Great feel to this Susan, Haskel’s solo and fills add to the atmosphere - thanks for using the samples.

Thank YOU! The feel was set up by you — and it is absolutely fabulous! The minute I heard your samples I was motivated to try something. Although my mix could certainly use some tweaking… time though, you know how that goes!

Very cool, enjoyable retro sound, Sue. Had me flashing me on an early Carol King soundscape in places.

I was thinking Carole King too! Lovely, laid back. Nice harmonies and guitar work.

Beautiful sound, your voice is lovely and mellow here and the feel is slow and sultry. I am looking forward to becoming more active here, you are an inspiration.Emily

If this gets you inspired to create, then I will feel like a success! My favorite work of others’ is often that which moves me to make something of my own. Thanks for listening Emily, and for the very kind words.

The cliches made me smile. Your approach to them made them seem less cliche… Anyways, your voice sounds fabulous, the guitar solo is a great addition and I’ll be listening to this again and again… You created a great feel that goes perfectly with unreal’s samples…

I’m glad the cliches made you smile. The ironic thing about cliches, is that they are so often true! Thanks for listening and sharing your kind thoughts.

Someone mentioned Carole King. I was also reminded of Morcheeba’s cd Big Calm (one of my all time favorites). So maybe - timeless? Very very nice.

The Carole King association is, I think, a reference to “It’s Too Late Baby” if I remember the ‘70’s correctly. (When I was an infant, of course). Morcheeba was mentioned as well. Yeah, I see that too.

love it Susan - has that incense and paisley atmosphere of the late 60s…
the harmonies are excellent…
the guitar adds the perfect punctuation.

I’m so pleased to receive such a nice comment from you dear Anchor! As I noted above in response to Deb, I feel naked without harmonies, so I’m happy to know you like them!

Does time…s square count?

Agree with Anchor, this has a certain late 60’s paisley feel to it. I have a feeling this song is very close to the true SackJo22 as you sound so comfortable in this context and your voice fits perfectly in arrangements like these. I think this north Californian style, (I can sense a dash of Jefferson Airplane) is what you do best. I love it. Don’t change!

Thank you dear Per. I always you say you can’t escape your heritage. While I am not from NoCal, my parents did take me to love-ins at a big park when I was little — love-ins where the Jefferson Airplane played live. I remember scantily clad hippies playing congas.

Thank you Em. Unreal’s track was one of those “let’s play and let’s sing” moments that come without much thought — just music!

I’ve just arrived back in freezing cold, snowy London again and listening to this on horrible speakers, yet still your fabulous voice shines through in this very cool, very stylish track. You are so damned classy in everything you do, Susan. xxxx

Your voice is spectacular here, yes they’re right you are at ease in this kind of Californian song. I second Anchor and Debbizo, I was particularly impressed at the harmonies, I would have never conceived singing “to love again” with such a delay and it works so well. When it ended, I would have like it to last longer. Nice guitar solo as well: straight to playlist!

sackjo22 I am not stalking I swear, I just like your stuff. I like the lyrics and I appreciate your posting them. I wonder what you think of the video at http://www.youtube.com/watc...
I am looking at making a karaoke video with bouncy ball lyrics - this one is almost right.
