Love the stuttery, clappy feel of this. No, I don’t think it’s too long- the piano needs the space you give it to breathe. The strings could be pulled back a teensy bit if I were to get all fussy and nitpicky, but it’s not my remix, and overall this is a grand and fun interpretation of Brad’s song- the mood and solidity of the vox allow them to sit farther back in this kind of mix without ill effect. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go dig up my old “Master Musicians of Jajouka featuring Bachir Attar” cassette. (Yes, I know it’s more of an Indian feel here, but my mind tends to skip around like a scratched CD, heh)

I think it’s great, i like the massiveness of the chorusses very much. Also the mix of musical influences is great. I agree with duckett that the classical part needs the space and is not too long. But I do think that an extra repeat of the chorus would be better, because of the length of the middle-piece. It will bring more balance in the song as a whole.
You asked for comments/suggestions, well, there’s one tiny thing in the mix that disturbs the solid drum/percussiontrack: the little tabla-sound, which is panned too far to be part of the drumtrack.
But that’s really to tiny to talk about. Compliments !

Where do you think another repeat would fit best (either song structure-wise or time-wise is fine)? Thanks for your suggestions and compliments! :D

I would say, just lengthen the song so, that there is more ‘song’ after the classical middle part. Maybe just adding a chorus at the end would be fine.
Did I mention before it’s a great remix :-?

as to the levels, they sound good to me. cool backing mix. brad’s vox could come up just slightly maybe, more in the verse than the chorus. but your production is inventive and solid as usual.
