Tools I Used

Fostex MR-8 for recording, a Fender Telecaster, a Pink Paisley Stratocaster, a Boss drum machine, and a P-Bass

Samples I Used

This is source, and not a remix (I'll get in that game too), so there are no used samples yet.

Original Samples

Everything in the zip file - a couple of 'wall of sound' guitar parts, bass, and a dual vocal.

Process

The preview is just a quick mix for reference purposes, so people can hear all the parts. No biggie.

Other Notes

Most of the other contributors of spoken word and vocals have carefully managed the scope of their words: because it is so easy to preach, they've found creative ways not to.

My approach was to paint a series of vignettes, things that have happened to me or feelings I have had about wastefulness. I basically loaded the song with imagery, with the intention of letting the listener draw their own conclusion, and hopefully take action.

But if it sounds like an angry song - it is. That's probably why I diverged from my original plan to base this on "Harmony", because the more I thought through the vignettes in the lyric, the angrier I got about it.
