I have very mixed feelings about this — it doesn’t seem to work as well as your first mix of Lisa — at first the atonality worked against me, but there *is* a lot of emotion here and by the end it had me very engaged.
Both your textures and Lisa’s vocals are very moving, I’m just not sure about what’s happening when put together. (This is first time I’m sorry I have to assign a number, there should be a ‘rating does not apply’ ;)) |

I was unsure of certain parts of this song. i wasn’t that happy with the beginning in particular. Nearly everyone has given me the same feedback on this. I have now uploaded an alternate take of it, with a different beginning part which I am more satisfied with and a slightly different ending. I was about 85% satisfied with the original version and I’m still only about 95% satisfied with this version. I think it’s better now, but it’s not perfect…and I’m not satisfied until it is. But any feedback on the new version I replaced the original with would be welcome.

This is indeed much better (!)
I still think there is a "fit" issue — fwiw I would spread the vocals out a lot more, maybe losing 30-50% and letting the background "breath" even more. That’s totally me, $0.02 worth if not less. But yea, much better for sure. |

I’d have to agree with Victor on this one… I like both the vocals… and the mix behind it, but the combo isn’t working very well. It kinda sounds like you made the ambient textures first then just played the vocal part on top. There’s not much collaboration with your ideas and Lisa’s sample. Great ambient texture behind that though dude. Strange and dark…
