The tag “Cure” definitely fits this.

I love mid-80s post-Joy Division bass lines like this. In another world, Tamara (Calendar Girl) might have been the vocalist for a Manchester dream pop outfit—you’ve give us a bit of a window into that alternate universe. Maybe every song has its endless remix, each to its own universe. Thanks for teleporting this remix into our time and space.

Ha—I get the feeling we might have listened to alot of the same music a few years back—-or maybe I’m just old and your young and raiding your Dads/Mums collection ;). this of course I love for many reasons, I’m an all too quiet fan of your guitar work. Really nice work with the vocals.

It’s some time that I hadn’t heard her voice, after being in my company for over one year, and I am very happy to find a good remix. Guitar work is perfect and fascinating, reverb is trashy as it should be. Beautiful song

Cheers! I missed out on the Calendar Girl project (didn’t know ccmixter existed at the time) - It must have been exciting to be part of that. Really glad you liked the mix.

Reminds me very much at the time as I was a student - the Cure had been famous then.

The bass and guitar sounds perfect together. Wouldn’t have known this was a remix. Very nice work! Love your unstated guitar work. Gives enough space to the vocals and bass, and yet stands out on their own.

Dreamy, cool, chill, and Cure-like… I must agree with Ivan- the guitar and bass are fabulous together. Very nice mix!
