I honestly don’t like your choice of vocals for this track… the beat starts out so laid back and smooth, I was really diggin’ it, and then the rapper comes in and ruins the overall production with his aggression and vulgarity. To each his own, I suppose.
Do you think you could post those jazz sample in a loop pack? I would love to take those and do a DnB mix… if it doesn’t violate any copyrights, that is… I hope they’re public domain ‘cause dem be sweet. |

I like the jazzy feel to the intro, and the soft percussion.
When the percussion picks up, it’s brick-solid, just right. The vocals are cleary audible, and not lost in the mix, which I like. They do sound a bit removed rather than part of the mix, though. This is a rich, solid mix. It’s inventive. I’d like to hear the backing sound come up and play ball with the voice a bit more, without losing the clarity you’ve achieved here. |

Trackto, this sounds like an Madlib or MF Doom beat. The jazzy backdrop and beat go together well.
The only thing I will say is that it sounds like the vocals are a little off-synch a bit at the end, but overall, incredible work. I really dig the way you make hip hop. I wish I had new pells, I really want to hear what you can do. You should post a lot more. |
