I’ve already remixed you once in Freedom to Share, but darn… this one is tempting me to get Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek back in the studio. Argh. |

can’t remember if I shared with you, I actually met Mr. Manzarek in the Foundation Room at the LA HOB before my first performance there — I was in utter awe and when speaking with him about scales, gear and his time with the Doors, well, I’m certain all composure was replaced with awkward giddyness (is that a word?). he was one of my first rock and roll influences and I could well say a musical ‘god’ of my formative years (my grandmother had an amazing organ where i’d get lost for hours). so, to have you transform another mix into a Doors-like fashion would tickle me pink and may even cause me to do cartwheels (if I wasn’t on crutches right now!)

I wish I had the songwriting chops to do something with this but honestly it stands perfectly on it’s own, as so many of your voice and piano combinations do. Awesome Em, one to be very proud of :-). |
