damn d00d, that’s beautiful. really great use of the strings.

harkens back to the days when guys with names like croce and lightfoot ruled the radio with great ballads and songwriting.

You had to mention Lightfoot. I have a three-year old at home, and the first thing that comes to mind is “Hi, I’m Gordon Lightfoot, and my favorite snack is pasta”.

And if that makes sense to you, you might have a three-year old at home too. :)

don’t tell me you’re exposing your 3 year old to bare naked ladies? ;)

Very, very beautifully written and performed, rt. Is there anything you can’t do? For my part, I’m partial to old guys (and old dogs) - I was in love with my 60 year old Russian ballet master when I was 16. This track is exceptional. xx

that is a sad story RT - poignant and touching. Retro yet contemporary…you delivered the ballad nicely too.

You know RT, I think though you love to throw it all in there, it’s best when you just throw your heart in :-).

Blessed be the old guys and the imaginations that keep them young :-).

I like this very much. Terrific restraint applied to this one - just the right amount of everything going on here.

Beautiful and bittersweet. Your accompaniment enhances the vocal perfectly. Thank you for such a treat.

For some reason, songs that match carefully plucked out guitars and literate lyrics are the ones that really catch my attention.

This is such a piece. The storytelling weaves in and out of the guitars and string deftly, drifting into the night sky like the trailing smoke of a campfire.

I’ve been touched by an old man.
All will be forgiven if you post the pella RT. Def one of your best.
Love the guitar and the way you’ve woven your feeling around it.

Thank you and I’ll upload the pella. It’s a little noisy as I did this mix on my laptop using the onboard mike.

Like a modern Glenn Campbell (but with credibility) This is a dream come true for a romantic guy like me. Absolutely fantastic!

If too many people praise this for its beauty, your next mix will put them in their places, knowing you. However, this is haunting, the vocal delivery is perfect. Just as an aside, my 14 year old son recently saw an old photo of me with an old Chelsea buzz cut and too much eyeliner on and asked me if I had been a goth. It was depressing, and no, I was a punk. Apparently that whole movement has now distilled into one cliched fashion statement.

Yes you’re probably right the next one will confuse the pundits!

Thanks to you and everyone who has been touched by what was a few lines sung into my laptop over Reza’s lovely playing.

Keep life and music simple…maybe!

Bloody ‘ell RT, this is brilliant.

The guitar work is clearly wonderful, but I think you’ve added sh*t loads of value to the mix with your fine pipes ;-)

Really, this is one of your finest moments I think.
