Wow - I’m a big fan of Lisa’s ever since hearing her songs so many time during the contest a couple years ago (has it been that long?). I heard part of the previous remix you did of my recent track, and I think this is working a little better. I need to clean up those harmony tracks to make them easier to work with. If you’re interested in hearing a Melodyne’d track featuring Lisa, check out this one by Thomas. Thanks so much for working with my track - I enjoyed this.

Thanks for the comments and that Thomas mix is really nice.

Yeh that first mix was a real challenge!! I wanted to keep the contrasting harmonies but despite spending a fair bit of time in Melodyne on them on later listening they sounded too far out. This was more my use of them than your vox. That’s why I pulled it the next day when I had another listen. I may go back when I have more time and try again as I did like the effect you created.

There’s the sort of crisp, raw bluntness and inventiveness that marks it as a “radiotimes” remix; my personal thought would be be to have some sort of very faint, soft audio “pillow” somewhere, to emphasize the contrast, and to provide a sort of over-arching “glue” to the piece.
My personal nattering aside, nice job as usual, in presenting a fresh perspective, and conjoining two different lyrical worlds into a unified third-person POV…

Confession!!

There was a little more to this by way of some sax playing but I accidenteldy muted it when mastering it down!! It sounded OK so I left the sax in the box!

I really do like this ‘duet’- I looked at some of the specs for Melodyne but was confounded right away so I am not sure what it is you are doing but it sounds natural. I also too like the synthy back line going throughout.

Really like this RT, love that harpichordish sounding sound. Two vocal tracks are a great combination of sweet and dark. Very nice. Theres so many great and interesting vocal tracks on ccM, off to check out the rest of Dumb Dots right now, thanks.

an earthy duo - feels foreign yet familiar - warm and fuzzy - rough and soft - poetic too…I think “conversation” is a good appellation.

Wow…you know I never heard this, because I never realized Magnatune released a bunch of samples or that I was in there! Guess I was away too long. Love the remix. :)
