Lately I have been listening to a lot of lute music, so I was particularly delighted to see this lute-lay mix. Your idea of blending the Candconier piece with CiggiBurns vocal is great! I think the lute should be slightly more prominent in the mix, yet I respect the desire to not overwhelm this very nice vocal.
The result you’ve achieved is charming and beautiful.
