really a beautiful song, Kara. The chorus is especially catchy. Yes, it is really sad, but i can imagine this in a different way :D great perfomance

I discovered after some listenings that this is very special track. I like it very much, Kara. Sometimes i need 2-3 listens to appreciate. Now i’m hooked! :D (i hope hooked is correct…) Congratulations for your amazing innate skills

I’m the same way! I tend to listen at least twice before I catch on to a song. Yeah- hooked is right (and mighty flattering)! Thanks again, Francesco!

Oh, nice, I like this. But that guy’s always gonna have your voice, you know? Well sung!

Hey, thank you muchly! You’re right… unless someone gives him a new voice, of course (i.e. cover song!).

This is awesome. I was wondering if anyone else would try writing from the opposite gender, because it really is a scary thing to try and do - so easy to be inauthentic.

But you really nailed it. Especially the “toughen up”, “be a man” thing. That one really does a number on us.

Thank you, Admiral! It was kind of scary… I imagined myself as Ryan Adams. :) Also thought about Ben Harper’s song ”Widow of a Living Man.” Do you know it? I read something about how he was writing it for Dolly Parton to sing, but was convinced to do it himself. Powerful.

Yeah- that “be a man” stuff is crazy. It seems so hard and damaging. I empathize… I’ve never been a “normal” woman…

Really touching and beautiful.
I really like the sad feeling it reflects.

What a fantastic song Kara. You really have a gift for expressing a perspective/persona/point of view. And your singing on this track is divine! Bravissima my dear!

within the wall of understanding, to land upon thought with both wings in tact is to cruise high the notion that life is free as such into the birth of imagination minds can cloud and not see all trials ahead of our courses … may the lanes of your great vocal gifts present many minds with that of your true you … great sound art here indeed…self expression is the key to ignite motivational engines….cheers!!!

Really enjoyed listening to this: thanks for sharing.

Great to hear the vocals in the download are dry too. I look forward to doing something with them.

Thank you, shalpin. I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I always include dry vox… gotta give the mixters flexibility! :)
