I wish I could have found the time to put into words what ccmixter has done for me musically, personally and professionally over the last 2 years. 
But I think I may have touched on a few points in the song you may have just listened to - man from Omaha .  Thanks Steve for including it, and your unweilding support for the ccM community that you and other curators on the site have shown. 
ccM has given me the platform to develop my song writing without having to wear the blinkers often associated with song development. If you are a genre snob ccM may not be the place for you. If you like the feeling of waking up in the morning to hear that someone, who you probably have never met, has sweated over one of your creations and produced a result totally unforseen and unexpected - then there’s no better place than ccmixter. 
I’m still serving my musical apprenticeship here and most likely will be indentured forever, but the love, encouragement, support and generousity I have found to be abundant here will never be forgotten.

Thanks so much for putting together this special Cool Music Show in honor of ccM’s anniversary — it’s truly an honor to be included. If I haven’t made it clear by now, I love this place!!! In fact, I just had to start a forum post to continue this gushing.
