My first remix! Hey, Mom, I just got my first remix!

How exciting. Thanks Libertarian.

My pleasure. It was a great song to play around with. Kept me up until 5 in the morning, and it’s the second song I’ve remixed, so I hope it turned out better than the first. A bit of a different style though, so I’m not sure they’re really comparable in too many ways.

Interesting what you’ve done here. The combination of the sort of tribal-esque drums and the a capella harmonies remind me of some of that stuff Paul Simon was doing for awhile in that “Diamonds” era.

Huh. Is that a good or bad thing? I wasn’t sure what I was looking for when I was toying with the song, but listening to it a week later, it reminds me family walks down the beach in Port Angeles, WA while a concert is going on at the pier on a Sunday afternoon.

Some days I like this arrangement. Other days, it doesn’t work for me. Of course, I’m a perfectionist and pretty critical of my own work. I never feel like it’s done, but I suppose at some point a guy’s just got to let it be, eh?

Well, I actually meant it in a good way. :)

I absolutely understand about being hypercritical of yourself, I get tripped out every time I hear myself. I did enjoy the arrangement though.
