Full of a brooding tension. Understated, but I like the way it makes movements out of the words.

You did a terrific job of setting up, supporting and focusing on Lessig’s words. Bravo!

Thanks SackJo22 and donniedrost!
I so want to attempt a David Gilmoresque solo over this track…restraint, restraint…lol Thanks for listening! |

Nice job! I like the subdued, but driving rhythm underneath Lessig’s speech. Recalls Byrne and Eno’s, “My life in the Bush of Ghosts”.

wow…thanks for the compliment— i would not consider myself anywhere near their league—it’s something to reach for though for sure.
regiment appeared in my playlists a lot around 2006 when the second release came out. rock on! |

there’s a dark tension you’ve created that emphasizes your lyrical choices from Lessig’s speech. thank you for highlighting the ‘deregulation’ and ‘reregulation’ for us — what a clever way to divide the left and right against each other. really excellent track. (awesome bass line by the way!!)

Thanks Snowflake! You’re comment reminded me—I need to update the attribution. Why? cuz the bass line is from Admiral Bob—sliced up to ride the root d note on and on and on….which really is what creates that tension underneath.
Sorry about the delay AB…I’m in three mixes at the same time. They each have bass note samples from you and/or I, and realized this sample was from you when archiving the parts this morning. Whew! and I still have a mix I want to post… |
