When The Bear heard this she said she wanted it ta do her yoga with. It made me thank a them dreams I get after eatin too many chicken livers and deviled eggs. Like the young buhdist said to the hot dog vendor…make me one with everything. Full yard squat. Five golden orbs.

This is what happens when you get a Country singer to wear a suit with a normal tie and a pair of lace up shoes!!:)

I wouldn’t exactly call it ‘limited’. But then again, I wouldn’t want to restart a discussion about the virtues (or lack of them) of sample-mangling.
I just checked when your last upload before this one was, and now know what I have been missing the last couple of months. |
.
Well, you’re right about sampling, of course; I’ve just been spoiled, used to looping acapellas and bashing out arrangement ideas on keyboard or guitar before tackling the rest of the process, and sadly, neither option is currently available to me at the present.
Thanks for the very nice words, though- I’d never imagined I’d be missed! :-) |

Hmm. Your backing track is a thousand-and-three times better than the vocals. There’s something about the instrumentals that manages to hit all of my music triggers - they’re just outstanding.
And not to knock DHR’s vocals - I used them myself - but I think you should look again and find another match here. It’s a stunning concept and you should do something with it. |

Thanks for the strong compliment toward my backing track, but I honestly was just having some fun with the pella… I’ll tell you what- I’ll upload the instrumental, and if another vocalist or remixer wants to turn it into something more serious, they’re more than welcome to.
Since I had started with the pella, and built the backing around it, it would feel more like I was remixing myself, than whoever I might use for a new pella… plus, it would be really hard not to hear “Corky’s” in my head every time the music played. |

I agree 100% with Colab, Your track really stands out, and nothing personal against the Dog but i think it’s better fitted with something a bit more country.
Still giving This the . Nice work Duckett. |

Thanks J-
I have a feeling DR’s original backing (if he had laid any down) might’ve had some acoustic bass, 5-string banjo, Dobro, upright piano, steel guitar, or at least a Telecaster on the bridge pickup in there somewhere… but my warped mind came up with some slinky submarine jazz-hop with a distant Hendrixish shimmering thrown in. Well, until the men in white coats finally come for me, at least you’re willing to play along ;-) |

Insane yet inspired. Unlike anything i have heard before which is always good.
I agree with some of other comments about a different vocal. Would make it more digestible for repeated listens |

You clearly have a good sense of humor. This song had such playfulness that I had to stop reading and give you a thumbs up!
