wow, this was great J.Lang. i really like how you use the various panning effects, spread out in various sections, but really subtle. the vibrato-like guitar is really sweet. the final section of the panned vocals might be a tad much (but thats taste mind you) as it seems less subtle, but i love the way you work the outro, without vocals, and there’s this sort of slight repressive feel to each proceding 8 bar section. it’s pretty fine dude.

Lovely! A good reminder that “drumless” and “beatless” are not the same thing. I particularly like the way all the song elements come together in the little extro half minute.

definitely the right amount of delicate wistfulness with a music-box starkness that matches the verse nicely. Reminds me of those inner-thought vignettes in a lot of anime… I thought the panning complemented the image of a bewildered puppet twisting in the wind (whim?)

Beautiful, and all the stronger for leaving lots of space IMO.
There’s something a bit ‘Twin Peaks-y’ about that lonesome echoey guitar sound! |
