I forgot to add Victor to the credits :( He took a lot of the guess work out for us by "straightening" out the a capella and making it available for download. Gracias. Nothing like a 108.016 BPM to get your day started….

(pffft. whatever)

for everyone that missed it, the vocals that Colin uploaded here were done without any consistant timing. All I did was sit in ACID for 20 odd minutes cutting and shoving shoving clips around.

Here’s what Pat is talking about:

Ths song gives me a feeling of hope. I don’t know why, but it does.
I guess it would be a shame if it didn’t make me feel SOMETHING…

Pat, Teru and Victor,
Thank you so much for putting your energy into this piece. For the last 5 years, I’ve always just played it on acoustic guitar, and when I first listened to my voice alone acapella, I didn’t think it sounded very good.

It’s amazing to see how you worked with it and interpreted it in such an interesting and musically mature way. Thanks for the great work.

Also, I promise that from now on, I will record anything I do along with a clear beats per minute click track.

Keep the flow going.

Nice work. I think the drum roll is sitting a little to far back. Good behind vocals but a little quite. Or maybe pan the reverb a little more for stereo width. Then again you probably tried this & ended up with the better sound.

case in point :)

this is beautiful. sweet, like life’s greatest pleasures. perhaps the ending is premature, though?

shat, that was almost poetic.
