The tempo changes add a very interesting element to the piece. There’s no denying the Prog influences here, but I’ll bet it was the pedal steel guitar that got your attention in the first place. Prog/ Americana?

I love the pedal steel in general and in this specifically (which, as I understand it, was painstakingly programmed!?!), but there are a few ear-catching parts that made this my priority Hieron track to remix…I also quite enjoyed the remix of this one done by @Radioontheshelf, though clearly we went in different directions.

Hello Ben! Extraordinary remix, I really enjoyed listening to it, it’s a display of technical knowledge. Yes, the phrasings are programmed, and very laborious:
