Voices come out really low on my speakers. So I don’t think I’m getting the full effect. Could be my speakers though.

nah your right Teru. Guys you may or may not do this already. But try running your mix through as many different system as you can to make sure what you hear during mixing will come out on different freq responding speakers. It also helps you understand where your remix speakers are lacking or accenting in the freq spectrum for future mixes.
