Nice, you are doing stuff with lyrics I would have passed up, but you are showing me what is possible.

Well thank you for that. We’ve all arrived here by a different route and we all bring different things to the table. I’m sure that’s part of the reason the site works as well as it does.

Having been involved in the arts all of my life I have found that when lifes pains descend the ability to channel them into something creative and meaningful is a big help. Despite this the loss of someone close be it friend or family is always a painful experience but when put out in some artistic form it can be a great calmer of the troubled waters we have to deal with. As my last mix says, we are all at some time Motherless children but with our memories we will never be truly alone

Although the creative urge can sometimes seem like a monkey on our back I think we’re probably the lucky ones to have the ability and the option to be creative. While art doesn’t necessarily resolve grief or any other problem at the very least it allows us to process our experiences and make them part of something else.

Great track. The backing is solid and solemn and the words grounded and highly effective. ‘Tidying your life away’ really got to me.

Thank you Speck, I appreciate that. It can be tricky to judge what might carry beyond the limitations of autobiography and cut through to other people. It’s hard to second-guess these things, especially with lyrics so personal.
