Hey PZ, it sounds operatic. Has a grand opening and parts of it sounded medieval and magical. The beginning part with the vocals sounded quite “busy/ crowded” to my ears (I think you might have missed a pitch correction for panu’s stanza at the start). I very much liked the track from midpoint onwards, where the track settled into a nice tempo. Looking forward to your MIDI files. Quite like your classical arrangements.

An off-tangent question: what were you doing in Iraq? Peacekeeping force? (no need to respond to this if you don’t wanna).

Thanks Ivan, yeah I changed the first part like 3 times. I dunno, this one sounded the most normal. I’m still learning pitch correction.

Yep, keeping the peace in southern Iraq. Actually it was quite peaceful. Alot better than a few years ago.

A real refreshing treat to hear such a traditional mix. The medieval/baroque approach works excellently. Great to hear the different pellas working together so effectively too.

There was a call to try to get some more pellas for the Holiday Project:

with trying to get two or more to fit together, so this was my attempt. Thanks Scott, I love you work btw!

a beautiful tribute to the concept of “peace” - at least it is a reality when listening to an offering like this.
excellent.

[update: For the benefit of others new to this thread - Watzmann’s cool :)]

Watzmann, music is subjective. Your comments are absolutely uncalled for. If you don’t like it, there’s the stop button. [unless… you were replying to a comment on your own music, and accidentally posted it at this thread.]

Quote: Papa_ZuluIts cool Ivan, you have to admit it ain’t great :DHeh, it’s apparent to me that coming back from a place where sticks and stones (and bullets) would break you, words have less of an effect. Well, I checked out Watzmann’s music and his comments posted at other people’s remixes. It’s possible it was an accidental comment on your post. If it isn’t, ah well.

Oh man, what did I do? I’m really sorry if I insulted anybody, but this comment was not meant to be here - it has nothing to do with anyone or anything on this site and got here by accident !! Sorry again !

What a terrific arrangement — and it’s great to know you are back safe and sound.

Thanks Sackjo, I appreciate it. Say I made an unfinished rock remix (yeah I’m great at unfinishing things) of your “All the Time” Acap, let me know if you want the stems / midis / mp3.

Thank Leza, I love your voice! It has such a unique timber (best way I can descibe it!) And like I said, the entire melody was based off an 8 second clip of your song Winter Sunlight :D
