You have a really pretty voice. Although the recorded vocal is soft, I like that you left the vocal dry, as remixers can work with it.
I’m anything but a great ear for bpm, but I think you’ve drawn a few of your lines out so that they don’t fit the tempo perfectly. This always happens to some extent, so not to worry. Yet if you sing to a stricter tempo then it will be easier for folks to remix you. Some folks like to sing to a click track or a metronome. One thing that’s fun is to use the on-line metronome at: http://www.metronomeonline.... Singing to a metronome makes it easier for remixers to match their song to your vocal, and it also lets you fill in the little bpm part of the song. I think that “storms” will get remixed, because your voice is quite appealing as you sing it. In the refrain, I suggest it might also work smoothly with “what i did’ instead of ‘what i have done’. I don’t do that much with sung vocals, as i don’t think i work that well with them—but I really liked this, and wanted to leave this comment to tell you so. |
