I wrote this for my mom this Christmas — she will be alone because of Covid. Starry Night is a holiday song for anyone apart from those they love this season.
Starry Night by Madam Snowflake You’re too far away We’re apart this Christmas Day Our world is in pain But with your love I find hope anyway Warmer memories fade Into longer nights and short-lived days Quiet begs me to stay So I wait For a holy birth as I pray Look to the Starry Night Sirius sings to your heart as it shines Out in the Starry Night Our earth dome with shimmering light looks quite alike In your sky and mine How much more can our shadow stretch Have we arrived at the manger yet Fall to your knees For a miracle plead From the One who knows all we truly need Look to the Starry Night In you emerging a luminous Conscious Christ The brightest star you will find There in your sight, that’s where we align Out in the Starry Night Its shimmering light looks quite alike In your sky and mine You’re too far away You’re too far away I find hope anyway
