This is a new “downtrance” version (for lack of a better description) of “In Egypt with No Underwear”…a poem written by Cherry Gollogoly…recorded by and posted on Anchor Mejans profile. Cherry has graced us with a new combination of reading and singing from her poem…her first recording in 3 years. I also sampled her wonderful soprano voice from an older recording for the end of this track. She has a back story that is VERY interesting. From her Facebook page, Cherry says the following, “A few years ago I completely lost my voice for many months. This condition is known as “Hysterical Aphonia”. But let me tell you there is nothing hysterical about it! My voice was completely restored in the most unusual way imaginable. In 2001 while visiting friends in the country in France, I was introduced to a Gypsy family whose son ( Noah - a gifted boy who played violin ) possesses the rare gift of healing). A special ceremony was given for me and by the grace and magic of that evening my voice was recovered!”
