This is a really, really neat idea. Some (unsolicited) suggestions:

- Encode it at 128bps (instead of 320)
- Make it 6mins long ;)
- It sounds almost mono, spread things out
- I’m guessing you meant to tag it ‘drums and bass’ not ‘dum and bass’

I would really love to hear the extended version.

Ermmm. I really can’t understand why- surely the higher bitrate the better?

That depends on how good your speakers/headphones are, how good your hearing is, what the actual audio content is, and so forth. I usually don’t encode anything higher than 192 and usually can’t tell the difference between that and the uncompressed playback in Sonar. Putting stuff on the internet that’s encoded at 320 is just a waste of bandwidth, IMO.

also, I agree, this is a very cool idea. I didn’t find the mix to sound terribly mono, there were bits and pieces out to the sides, which was enough for me.

yup, listerers can’t tell the difference in sound quality but they don’t like it when a stream breaks up. Plus m not sure he could even fit a 5/6 min jam under the 10mg limit of uploads here.

‘ff and bass’ is a registered trademark (r) by [society]
men must pay for it …groupie-girls can ‘work’ for it :D

@ the track:
two points have to be reflected - the first: i think the
track is really to short (the dnb tracks i know have an
intro that takes 1.33min) - the second point: the vocal-
use is very compressed for the dnb-style - in a track
that would take up to 7 min the vocals could be used
this way but in not even 2 min it’s too much… you know
what i mean? ;)
