I have heard most of these samples before but you have arranged the puzzle in a logical and emotional sequence so well done.

There is a small village in the south of England, population of a few hundred, that just after the war erected a simple stone memorial to losing over half of the men of the village, overseas in the 2nd world war.

Battered by the weather for over 50 years it had become in need of restoration. The locals tried unsuccessfully for a year or so to get the monument listed so it might warrant some government funding to help in its restoration. Finally this year they said yes and were given a few hundred pounds.

Yet the Tate Modern gallery with its bricks , and trustee inside dealing got £1.5 million without a second breath.

Never were the words `Lest we Forget ’ more pertinent than today, because some people have.

Wow- this is a classic example of “ambitious, yet very successful”… a lot of my more soundscape-ish stuff seems to fall under merely “ambitious” by comparison. Maybe it’s long, maybe it’s low bit-rate, but it’s very much worth it!
