ouch that must have hurt going from your Mac to a Vista box :-(

Love the surprising chord progression, it totally works with the melody. And of course great dance-hall stuff as you are so apt at. Great remix. Good luck with your move!

A Folk Song projected into another sphere…fun and an unexpected song to morph into “danse” - sounds wonderful Scott. Love it!

Great mix. I read your notes and I too am sorry to hear of your computing loss. I can commisserate with the feeling of having a life up in the air. At least you have the ability to create music to give you energy to keep the fire burning :-).

I can tell you one thing … having a better computer doesn’t solve all your problems ;-).

Good luck with everything. Hope you find a settled and satisfying path soon :-).

you dressed up this old folky/spiritual so well. my cultural background supports dancing to spiritual music and it was easy (and a big pleasure) to feel the groove on this. good luck on the life-style change.

Hey Thanks PM.

I wanted to create a driving track, but obviously not just cr*p all over this tracks spiritual / folkie roots by just dropping a fat trance beat with an overbearing ‘in your face’ bass riff.

I like the idea of an almost throbbing rhythm with melodic ‘airy’ pads to keep it subtle (as subtle as dance music can be).

I am sad to hear that we will probably have to miss your presence and music here for the next couple of months. This song is a nice present though.

Good luck with the move. (I guess you are fleeing A’dam, because it will all disappear into this large man-made abyss called “de Noord-Zuid lijn”?)

Thanks Sub. Amsterdam is a great city, I’ll miss the place for sure and would recommend that anyone spends a few years in this crazy maze of people, trams, bikes and cars.

I guess because I specialize as a B2B/EAI Consultant and the fact the recession has hit here too means that to get my career back on track means moving back to my native neck of the world.

Great though that you can be part of CC from anywhere. Kudos to that!

beautiful mix of pads vs dance on avery traditional melody.

A little sad that you disappear for a while. Mac/pc is a matter of old young education to me, you get used in the years and you would never change.. I make music on a pc (use Sonar, pc only, developed for windows) but I don’t feel like discussing about OS. I’m also in the crisis (work in the automotive field), cheers!!
