You execute the live stuff very well, the mix seems just a little busy with so much going on. But the production is solid. I’m nit a huge fan of the way so many tracks are panned hard, but that’s just my preference. I also like how there’s what I’ll call an “analog nostalgia” going on for me, as this sounds like something that came out “pre-digital”.

Thanks, in fact I know the problem of the busy tracks, but this is what I wanted after all.. and I wasn’t sure whether to publish it until the very last minute. I really wanted to give an analog effect to the whole mix..

Hey you - nice to see you back here.

Cool track. I get a very strong nostalgia feel here - almost early Ultravox in sound - particularly in the refrain.

I sort of agree with MCJitB - yes it’s busy, but I think it’s more because the vocals are mixed too low compared to the other elements (you can hear it particularly well when you listen to it at a lower volume).

That aside - I love this. It triggers practically every button of mine from the early 80s.

Hey man! Nice to see you too! Thank you for your precious feedback.. actually I knew that the two things go together (busy and low vocals), but after various trials I decided to keep vocals a bit lower.. it was very difficult to get everything balanced here, also because I recorded the tracks back in 2007, when I had new equipment and still had to learn to use it well.. if you listen to my previous three remixes here you’ll see that they are more clean.. I simply wanted this track to stay here too, apart from the a minor theory website.. :-)

Like Colab, this really triggers a certain early or mid 80’s U.K. New wave nostalgia for me. Early Ultravox and and Echo and the Bunnymen comes to mind.

I don’t think it’s busy at all, on the contrary, for me the “busyness” just makes it very energetic and fun to listen to. Just Fabulous!

Thanks Paul, in fact I tried different solutions before posting it here, and at the end I only liked the most “heavy” version :-)

Excellent production work here! I love the energy pf the whole track in general. I don’t think it’s busy at all. I would have done it the same way, maybe that’s why lol :)

LOL! Thanks man, in fact I was more concentrated on energy… sometimes we get lost in production by trying to make perfect what cannot be perfect at all ;-)
