A very sad song, nicely and clearly produced vocals, so it sounds like the advice you got was pretty sound. I like the dual vocal to give the stereo effect, that’s a nice production technique too.

The song has an appropriately melancholy tone. The song reminds me a little bit of Alzheimers… lost some extended family members to this horrible disease, and it is always a few pieces at a time, a kind of dissipation, a la “Who we are evaporates.” :(

Good, good. That’s fantastic to hear. I really want to step up my mixing… doin’ the research, applyin’ the advice. :)

I’m really sorry to hear about your family members… you’re correct, it is about Alzheimers. My dad has it… A recent thing that’s happening is that he’s stumbling upon details to stories that he’s never shared before… the past is getting clearer as the present disappears in minutes. So, as I write these sad songs, I’m also trying to focus on the positive and interesting things like… I am learning a whole new level of patience. :)

i truly love this mix Kara. your vocal is deep and captivating, pulling me into a trance-like listening state. almost like a female-fronted PInk Floyd track. one of my favorite productions from you (which is saying a lot). heart-felt lyrics. and wow, thanks for including my piano at the end.

Thank you so much, snowflake. It was a true pleasure working with your vocals and piano. I’ve always loved songs with soft outros…. your piano line seemed to perfect for this… and to give the feel of fading. So thank you for the inspiration and for sharing your skills.

Exceptional collaboration. Stefan started something lovely and engaging, Martijn and snowflake skillfully enhanced it, and you’ve just maximized it beautifully.

Kara and CC-Crew meets Pink Floyd.

It has so much psychedelic elements in it. and the piano ending finally knocked me.

Great production.

Haha! It’s true. The funny thing is that Pink Floyd didn’t cross my mind while working on this. :)

Thanks for noting the piano ending… I was mighty pleased by how that worked.

Thank you kindly, Key!

First, I just want to give you a hug. Your lyrics are so incredibly expressive. Just beautiful poetry. I imagine having the capacity to turn that experience into this beautiful music must bring some comfort.

And you voice is luscious. Love, love, love the harmonies.

One thing I always know when I click on one of your mixes is that I’m going to get something not only wonderful musically but also great lyrically.

Great feel for the music and subject in your performance.
