i tried to click on ‘recommends’ a number of times during the 1st play thru, but it would only allow one. leaving aside for the moment the brilliant band work & harmonies, the tempo/pitch change transformed this from sodden to marketable. i learn something every time you lay a hand on mine (or anyone else’s) pell. thanks so much!

I like this very much. It’s such a simple, straightforward, well-crafted track.

It’s like comfort food when you really need it, and I mean that as a compliment in the best possible way.

As always, amazing production. And it treats panu’s great vocal with great respect (nice backing vocals too).

Well I listened to my version again and then to yours once more and I said to myself “now be honest RT which one do you like more?”

The answer was a bit of a disappointment to me as I had thought after slapping Mr P with Pitx and rubbing in a few of Apples best loops I had a bit of a winner on me hands.

Not so! Your working of the vox is excellent and shows lots of cleverness that only a a talented bloke like yourself could conjure up. So well done and congrats on a very nice mix. Love those backing vocals as well!

p.s.s. your track IS a winner! hard to say which version of any song has the larger impact, (and on whom). our job is just to lay it out there & hope somebody besides Mom likes it.

Thank you! I know mine is the best really I just wanted to be nice! And a little humourous as well!!

Variety is the spice of life as my father said when mum caught him practising press ups on top of the Tupperware lady!!

This is fabulous, Loveshadow. Really, really love it. I can’t recommend it at the moment because oldDog’s got there first (we can’t both recommend the same person) but I will be clicking on that thumb when I get to an off-site computer.

Perhaps the genre here would have to be called “nouveau country” :-). It’s missing a little bit of twang, but it makes up for it in pure class. The backing harmonies are enchanting and Panu’s vocal feels like he’s in the room telling his tale. Great stuff. Really nice to hear those guitars.
