this really works!

feels like it could use some more polish, but pretty good as is.

what do you think needs polishing?

sorry didn’t mean to be non-constructive with my comment.

Keep in mind I’m pretty darn novice at this. But what I’d do to polish it would be basically to add some more layers to it. At 1:40 your transition is really good but it feels like it’s missing something extra. Maybe guitar or synth to reinforce the chord progression. Also the A section is really good, but feels like it could use some variety on the top (maybe that’s a distorted rim shot) … whatever it is, maybe glitch it a lil’ or put a phaser on it or something to give it some variety.

Don’t take this as harsh critisism. Man this track is good, I gave it 5 because there’s basically nothing wrong with it at all. All my comments are basically personal taste.

Look at it this way, it was so good it inspired me to want to mess around with it. Hrm … maybe I should try to remix your remix, then ‘eh ? ;-)

I never take any criticism negatively unless it’s really nasty. Don’t worry :-D

At the spot you’re talking about…it sounded REALLY crazy at the beginning, because there’s a crapload of stuff going on at once that it drowned out poor C.G.

If she’s willing to rerecord that middle part to be more energetic, I’ll be happy to up the levels around her…it really sounded exciting, but it was sad that she was drowned out…

This REALLY is a very nice track! Its got a certain freshness and rawness that I like a lot. If you wanted to follow up on Plurgid’s comments have a listen to some of Royksopp tracks especially “Sparks” off the Royksopp Night Out EP (LIVE). The track builds perfectly and their use of synths is pretty impressive.
Keep up the excellent work!!

This deserved its editor’s pick. It’s really a very strong mix.
I wish I had that melody in a MIDI, because it would be fun to re-set it at a slower pace and create a very different song with it.

I absolutely love this song! I heard a clip of this song somewhere, and had to come and register here to hear it all the way through! Your other songs are also wonderful; I look forward to anything else you come out with.

Magical track! You managed to capture a nice “expecting” and altogether a very uplifting vibe to it. Hearing this track on some video (on youtube) about some wind-operated “sculptures” made me register at ccMixter & mix the track too! Great work! :)
