Sounds great- I’ve often thought this type of approach would work really well against this pella, and the track certainly has the driving, raw energy following the vox at every dip and turn… Rock on!

I agree with duckett, this kind of punky approach works very well with KT’s energy.

Possibly the voice could be a little higher in the mix, but that’s just my opinion!

Definitely in agreement that this style of backing suits KTs pella well. Perhaps she could chime in on what sound her early 90’s band had. A How I Did It would be a fun add to this mix. hint hint… Also in agreement that her vocals could come up a bit. Excellent!

Thks for the comments. I let the vocals at this level because in monitors they sound a little bit soft, but in home stereos sound ok (for me), and not everyone has monitors. :D

Great guitars!

Vox definitely needs bringing up in the mix and I would have brought more of the guitars in sooner.

On this type of track you do not need to build it up just get in there and start punching straight away.

Excellent mix even allowing for my comments!

Thanks. I love the long intros, no matter what style of music I am doing always is a long intro! I can’t evade this syndrome jajajaja.

Ok. I will replace the file with the original mix, with the voice as I mixed first. (lifted a little). And, I’m working in the how I did It, in case anyone wants to take a look inside.

Funny- this pella has seen every style of mix possible (except maybe reggaetron) but I like the rocker a bunch. I like some of the dissonant chord choices here.

This is fantastic. The build is outstanding, and was completely engaged by the first chorus. It makes Kaer sound like she’s channeling Siouxsie, or some other 2nd wave lead singer. My only comment is that something at the beginning does not hook as strongly as it could – difficult to tell, maybe that Kaer doesn’t sound in groove, though it’s certainly present later.
