With Freedom to Share and Behind the Mask, I got behind with the pellas from my upcoming album, Open. So here is track 7, called Seed.

Seed was written for J.R. Sterling, one of my truest and dearest friends and mentors. His family asked that I write and sing something at his funeral, which was incredibly emotional and challenging, but also an honor.

A special thanks to spinningmerkaba for his beautiful guitar work.

Music can convey what regular conversation cannot.

Seed

A part of you is now
Permanently
A part of me
Like a dandelion seed

In every face I see
Each place you opened me
To the possibility
Only you could see

Now you’re like a seed
Growing in everything
A flower opening
To a dream
This is your legacy

Your wisdom’s in the ocean
Deep under the surface
Where it’s hard to breathe
You are guiding me

You are gentle
Like a spring rain
Yet sharp as a sunrise
Your generosity
Is the air all around me

And you’re like a seed
Growing in everything
A flower opening
To a dream
This is your legacy

You are a part of me
A part of me
A part of me
I cannot see

You are a part of me
A part of me
A part of me
I cannot see

You are a part of me
A part of me
A part of me
Opening

To a dream
A dream
Your dream

This is your legacy

You are a part of me
A part of me
A part of me

Snowflakes latest Gem is my ideal of perfection.
Well produced, and it touches the soul.
Spinningmerkaba adds his beautiful touch on guitar. In the words of A.B. It’s a song of joy & hope.
