Hi everyone,

most of you (singers and rappers) are uploading complete songs or vocals for a complete song. Don’t understand me wrong, your work is fantastic.
But sometimes a remixer like me wants to get some snippets .. easy to use. I’m talking about shouts, short phrases, c / d / e / f minor or major .. maybe at 100 pbm (to recalculate them easyer).

Here’s an example from me … that’s what i’m (and i think some others too) are looking for:

Got any ideas, maybe there’s a samplepack at ccMixter i haven’t found? .. otherwise grab your microphone and start recording :D

Thank you all.

Peace

Can’t you just cut a snippet out of a pella for your remix? That’s what most will choose to do. That way you get the five seconds you want, rather than the five seconds the singer decides you will have.

Just because someone posts three minutes doesn’t mean you have to use all three of ‘em!

I know I personally don’t like to do much with posting short snippets. I may make samples and pellas, but I value the creative part of making them. But maybe I’ll make a handful of them just for people such as yourself, anyways. :)

Yes, i think you’re right .. but for excample: when i’ll cut of vocals from snowflake, for me it’s like destroying her fantastic work.
But when i got some snippets like “uh” “ah” “do it” “dance with me” and so on, then this are parts ready to use without killing anything of other’s work.

Admins: if linking to other sites isn’t cool, please remove post.

I’ve been having a ton of fun doing exactly what you’re asking for, over on freesound.org. Short little bites are really fun for me, and people hop on the requests pretty quickly over there.

Here are some of the short samples I’ve been hacking at:

Freesound is a sister site I believe? Either way, most items are creative commons 0, but they will say so in their description.

Good luck!

I was also going to suggest Freesound, great for all kind of sounds, grunts, groans, breaths, words.

When searching for the same thing a few month ago, I stumbled upon the royalty free vocal sample packs by Rob Meulmann. He did a great work there, maybe you can use some of them…
