try to keep percussion, bass, etc. tracks separate unless you are going to upload each different track individually.
for example, this track has some percussive elements that should be separated and downloaded as a stand alone track to allow remixers an easier time remixing. thank you |

in other words, you can compose an entire original song, but post each individual track to download, so the remixer has the drum, bass, guitar, etc. track all individually to remix.

I would certainly do that with my unique drum loops, made by me, but this percussion loop is made by cymatics and I think it’s unfair to post them as my own (btw they are free to use so anyone can download them on their website), thank you for your advice tho

they are royalty free, but I don’t use them here. I use them on my soundcloud page, but I only use ccmixter samples here.

they used to have a whole forum area that helped a lot, but it’s gone. I don’t know what happened to it.
You have some great samples and that remix was very short and sweet. Plus I might not be on the site for a time, so I’m passing some knowledge down. |

I might not have a steady place to stay for the foreseeable future; however I should be able to get a lap top in not too long and chill out at the library and coffee shops.
This shouldn’t happen for another few months though. |
