I like it when there are lots of sounds that are field recordings and household sounds blended into a melange of more traditional “musical” sounds, as if this making of music is not a cocktail with bits of the right drinks, but something more organic and connected to what we do. In this vein, things like the little synthstrings hit are less part of this ideal field-recording-as-song life than even the frog ribbit and the little rainstick/poured drink sound.

The groove here is pleasant and interesting, although the percussion and the bass line perhaps loop a time or two too many to be the ideal design for living in the tract home at the end of the corner of our Green and Yet Utterly Chic ideal future.

This quirky, fun mix held my interest—if I had been making the mix, rather than listening to it, I would have varied the samples so that one time a frog, the next a hawk’s cry, and so on (but then again, if I had been making the mix then it would not have been nearly as much fun as this one proved to be).

You are the master of words here, i can see :) You write on so many layers… or is it just my over-interpretation? Thank you for all your remarks.
