Imagine this: I am sitting in front of the computer. First, a slight smile appears on my lips when I see that Spin is mixing Anchor. With a sense of excited anticipation, I hit the play button. Oh! The slight smile quickly transforms into a large full face grin! I feel like I have been taken on a splendid journey guided by Anchor’s recitation, while riding in the sonically bedecked coach of your BT. And I love the spoken word piece you chose which is just so appropo for where we are at right now as a community — a hopeful beginning. Bravo!

You’re always too kind, SJ! And so observant catching the meaning in the title. There were several potential titles I liked for this piece, but settled on this one because it expresses my sentiments for this special time in ccM’s evolution.

Love it. Like looking at Anchor through a kaleidoscope. Great stuff.

Also loving the experimental tag ;-).

ok seriously as if the beginning wasn’t awesome enough you had to add even more… This was one of the most fun songs I have listened to all day. I enjoy all things Anchor, so this played right into my wheel house…

Just a wonderful soundscape…wow!

Thank you T! This is a bit unusual musical fare for me, so your supporting comment means a lot!

I am honored! and … truly amazed at your offering Spin!
Not only did I get mixed by a Master - but as icing on the cake - you chose my most personal poem and used the Aku Aku harmonies (which nobody has yet mixed) -
Thanks so much for this -
I really am delighted.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Anchor!

The two main pieces I used, spoke to me on a very personal level right away. The poem expresses many of the things I feel when making music. And the choral sample of yours was at that special intersection of ancient music, world music and avant garde, where you operate so comfortably.

Thanks again Anchor!

And thank you from me Anchor as a friend of Mr. Spin for booting him outside his comfort zone. It gave him a chance to see he’d come through with flying colors and we all need that from time to time. Anchor you are a muse to the multitudes.

lol - you are quite the punstress* CB! Thanks for those kind words.

* I was quite disappointed to find out that “punstress” is not even in the urban dictionary. Seems obvious it should be with women like you running about on the Internet!

Your Backing track is awesome, the addition of Anchor’s vocals is the cherry on top.

I am late, but having heard your remix already in the first day it appeared.
This is something different from you I think and the way you have remixed Anchor is smart and sort of genius.
I always had great pleasure to remix Anchor (when I had the possibility) but I never found it so easy in one way, but when I was in the process of remixing it went easy though.
You show some great ideas to melt these samples (really good voice processing and treatment)against(or with) your instrumemntal bt.

Some stunning mix if not really cool(not meant as “kuehl” ;-) )Spin!!

Thanks for those very kind words, TJ!

Yes, it took me quite a long while to review Anchor’s material and to figure out where to take my assignment, because Anchor has of course been remixed so many times - quite a few of them really excellent. And I really wanted to do something a little unique, but still letting Anchor be himself.

Once I had landed on the idea, the actual execution didn’t take too long at all. So I guess my experience was similar to yours!

I hope things are well with you!
