Do you know Joe Zawinul, Speck?
I listen to his music quite a lot these days. Very inspiring. Sometimes you remind me of him.

Well I had some Weather Report in my record collection ‘back in the day’ (as they say) but the more jazz I listened to the more I went back in time (stopping short of Dixieland) and my interest in fusion waned, so I never really followed Zawinul. But I did like him/them.

In some songs, he does a kind of ‘live Melodyne’, singing through a keyboard.

Funny, when you brought him up I went to youtube and watched a few vids, in one of them he was also doing that live effected singing which caught my attention but the recording, or the live mixing, wasn’t too good so I couldn’t hear it well. Now I have so thanks.

I don’t know how Zawinul uses that voice thing, but your latest vocal works remind me of it.
