I suggest you aim for something more along the line of sedate drone—using fx, tempo shift and perhaps pitch-shift to aim for something ambient. The higher pitches on this one don’t work quite as well for me as the hints of drone. The percussion, to me, is a distraction.
I’ve love to hear this idea slowed, droned, resonating, panned, perhaps delayed, without the percussion fillips. |

Gave a file with only the background effect to Krishinda to sing over… see what happens. The tabla is just some playing around really to see what sounds good on it… |

Listening until the end was hard. I found the reversing a little too central. I would put a bassline in there. : )

kinda reminds me I need to take the car in for a tune-up
as I’ve said to others in this ilk, if you are going to do this kind of stuff you better make it 100% about emotion and 0% "look what this knob does" — personally I’d say you’re about %30 there with this one. (sorry, it’s how I see it) |
