The first time I listen to him singing I knew I had to do something with it. Thank you for listening and remarking.

I am so glad you like it. When you collaborate with someone in this way it’s taking a chance, isn’t it?

This song works for me. Minimalism sometimes connects and resonates with the listener much more than a super-complex remix.

Thank you for agreeing with my minimal treatment. I thought of adding more noise and rhythmic effects or something, but I wanted to give it a feel of being a part of what was all around them — drumsticks on empty, overturned buckets and voices only — like we would make music if that were all we had.

Gracias, SeƱor Moon. I felt the song needed to be supported by its own rhythms and harmonies. I remind myself that I trained myself how to find harmonies not already supplied by conjuring parts for a 5th Beatle.

A haunting treatment of Jhony’s amazing vocal that is penetrating — powerful in its simplicity.

Thank you, ma’am. His trills are so effortless and heart-felt. Not calculated like so many r’n’b singers in the American Idol, overwrought style. But it also made it hard to harmonize with all but those last, held notes.
