classical literary hard rock, i love that. soft spoken & helpful by day but turn it up to 11 when they lock the doors. very surprising & very well done, Ivan.

Very well done!!! The back track is really nice! I would put debbizo’s voice a little bit more in the front of the mix, maybe check the voice’s eq… But anyways this is a very good mix!

Yeah, I had a lot of problems with getting the vocals part sound right. Totally agree with you they could be more upfront. Hmm… now that you mentioned adjusting the EQ, I should try that next time (was thinking of adding Compression then… and that didn’t seem to work). Thanks for the tip. Glad you liked the backing track!

Quote: panu moonduplicate the vocal to a total of 4 tracks, keep 2 in the middle & pan the other two L20 R20.Thanks man. Tried your suggestion and it sounds a tad clearer now — though I mix with my earphones only and not sure if what I hear is what the rest of the world hears. Anyway, what I hear is also that the panning 20 (Vs my original Panning 45+) makes a difference. Thanks for the tip again.

…I had the same thought as it was a bit difficult to hear the spoken word. I like the arrangement of the vocals though. Maybe I could help by re-recording the spoken word…I do have a soft voice and it often needs a boost. |

Hi Ivan … Metal treatment works well. A really big , epic sound, sophisticated at the same time. Sounds like you are getting on well with your strat!

Wow great mix and arrangement Ivan. Your (real) guitar definately adds the epic feel at :48 1:00 and 2:20 - somethin ya just cant get from a vst! Thanks for creating this off my stems, its an awesome feeling.
I’ll have to try what you did next mix - splitting riffs 3 ways it sounds really good. |

Cool beans, Ivan. Neat to discover we both went for spoken word arrangements, even though I hadn’t heard this before my own mix. I like the high energy guitar harmonies. It’s always hard to get the mix you want when there are so many possibilities, but thanks of the “how I did it”.

Thanks for commenting, Revlin. It’s always nice to have someone leave a comment on an earlier upload. Makes me revisit the work and helps me gauge my progress :) You’re welcome re: the “how I did it”. In fact, I’m glad I posted it ‘cos I’ve forgotten how I did the mix LOL
