That’s a great little beat; you might want to consider pulling the levels on the vox tracks down a little, as the evenness in level for the beat/bassline makes the layers build faster in perceived volume, and the sibilants in the vox also compete with the scratching/high-freq. beat components. I really like the idea, though :)

Oh, OK; hey, as long as you wanted it like that- I noted plurgid’s review also; between this, and my review of “still i”, I just seem to be getting too big for my britches lately… I’m not trying to come off like some pompous know-it-all, honest I’m not :)

It’s interesting that art brut could inspire this mix.
I like layered vocals, and here the backing accompaniments work well. It’s an interesting experiment, because the lyrics acquire a new meaning in this treatment. I like the way that you’ve varied things around in the vocal track to make for different “feels” in the way the vocals impact the listener. That break around 2:57 is welcome, and I suggest that an instrumental break around 1:30 for 30 seconds or so might have leavened up the piece a bit. It’s an interesting treatment, and so full of imagination. I love the way that sensory input (a story about outsider art) can create this. I’ve been enjoying to your prior mix a great deal, as it always seems to shuffle pleasingly up on my mp3 player, and it’s fascinating to see where your muse took you next. |

What a strange sensation to hear Calendar like in a nightmare.. Interesting work. The mix with the back vocals is a success. Very well done.

AWESOME like micro-house style beat going on in the background. Perfect just like it is. Creepy, ethereal, beautiful for sure.

Like this, like the way it swirls around in your head. Tad disturbing but strangely beautiful. I like your notes and think you achieved what you were setting out to do, thanks.

Mysterious - brilliant - the description of the mad woman’s scrawled note, very touching. One of the most unique pieces heard recently…The kind of work I now admire and respect from you.
