	. permalink MC Jack in the Box Sat, Feb 17, 2007 @ 11:01 PM it is a headphone mix (as are all of mine), so you’re probably right. you feel the backing mix is overcompressed behind ran, is that what you’re saying? i may tweek this slightly. i did do some EQ on the vocals to try to get a good fit with the guitars. thanks for the feedback.

Thanks again for the attention on my tracks lately; I feel a little spoiled since there is so much talent on the site now. Now if I could just get my stuff as polished & tight & consistently good as Brad, maybe I’d feel worthy to be in a band with y’all :). The funny thing is…when I started a couple years ago, I thought of myself as a rusty singer with some other modest skills who was dabbling with writing songs…and now with songs like this its me being a songwriter doing the best I can with my voice but knowing there are voices who would sound better on the song I’m doing. Yeh, this is one of those I think and the last one too. I have an ambitious song ready to record though, and I think my voice is a better match. Stay tuned ;).
	. permalink MC Jack in the Box Sat, Feb 17, 2007 @ 11:07 PM no worries man. i think you do excellent work, and what it lacks in technical capture (i know you’re not recording on a high end neumann mic), it makes up for in execution and passion. i like to think that if you put up good source around here, you’ll get something decent back. and you certainly give us good source that is both inspiring and easy to work with. if someone else sang this, i wouldn’t have made what i did. as long as you keep submitting your pellas (w/bpm tags preferrably…), i’ll keep tossing them around. :)
