Love the mellow pop space you got here. 10 out of 10 for holding back in order to frame a great pella. I’m lookn fwd to secret mixter also - can’t wait S

Excellent mix, MC! A very smooth take here - I love the relaxed feel of it. Feels a little like the beginning song in a lovable indie movie - meant as a compliment, of course, since those can sometimes be sort of cheesy :D

Beautifully arranged, played and produced. Holding back the bt, alowing the pella to shine like this is what does it.

I think Elvis Costello would wish he had sung this! Really great job MC J!
You have that certain knack…..

This is great. The simplicity of the arrangement lets the vocal speak for itself.

:)

how about UK style - deep fried in batter?! (I’ve heard one or two mixes like that…)

hmmmm. i wonder if deep fried in batter is analogous to slathered in autotune. :)

thanks ditto! the guitars here were recorded with a strat and a P-bass (although i have other guitars as well). i recorded them DI through a Johnson J-Station, arguably the best and most resourceful piece of music gear i’ve ever bought. i modeled a twin reverb black face for all the guitar tracks, and modulated the tremelo with the j-station as well. great little unit, i don’t think they make them anymore. i got mine for $99.
