OH.MY.GOD. This is ssssssssssssoooooooooooooo gorgeous! THIS should have been on the ‘Peace Of Winter’ compilation. Lasswell, you have NOTHING to apologize for. When you make contributions like this song, trust me, friend; ALL is forgiven!!!

That avatar was a sight for tired eyes this morning :-). What a lovely song. We’re expecting a dusting tonight so when it starts falling and we get the fire going I’ll bring the laptop in and see how it is in it’s intended environment. Lovely to have you back.
…and yes he does have the loveliest of voices…. |

This has everything needed to be a holiday classic for a long time to come. Moving harmonization of the melody, sweeping strings, and s direct vocal delivery. Touching and sentimental in the best way. Bravo!

When you said you were doing this i knew i would have two reactions. First i would be elated ,as i am , at being part of a Lasswell mix. The atmosphere and skill in your abilities is forever evident. That last Here comes the snow is magical.
And then secondly i would be pissed off that hearing you again and with this mass of talent you are not scoring films or producing whatever… It still don’t seem right. Thanks for the time you spent on this. When you post your `singing’ a cappella i will mix you. |

I must have done a 100 listens now. I am still hearing new bits like the low brass motif in the final verse and the `femaleish’ choral voice on the outro.
I want to make a video :-) |

Wow. The harmonies are beautiful. There’s something very Japanese in them like Joe Hisaishi or Michiko Naruke would write them. Which is a good thing in my book, by the way.
Thanks for the reminder of how it can and should be done. Very glad to see you around here again. |

Well done the melody is faintly from a Japanese tale / musical and the images i was thinking of were those of Hiroshige. Lasswell’s music is perfectly in line with that.
