its just a very good tripping 7 min of pure bliss… who would have thought that those vocal improvisations could lead to such a result

I really like what you have done here and you seem to have a feel for the irritating melody!!

Good stuff but one critique and its a personal one as I know this type of music is a very individual thing and down to the creator to decide on how it works. That said I feel there needs to be more of a structure to these type of pieces so that whilst the individuality is retained the listener does not have to work too hard to enjoy.

Pretty deep analysis hey! Maybe not so I’ll just go and have a lie down now to get over it!!

Thanks for the long review Radiotimes!

I agree the structure is pretty aimless until the last two minutes. There’s too many ups and downs for this kind of music, and the changes are not predictable enough to be satisfying. So I hope I’ll manage to remix this (maybe a five minute track would be better if I don’t add other elements)

And yes, I love anoying melodies… because they like me. It’s funny how I didn’t notice the melody was anoying until you told me, but now I can’t enjoy my own song quite as much, damn you! :)

This would flow nicely into Electronic Clashs mix.

The lack of structure and “aimless” is IMO product of mixing/creating live. So, this track would undoubtely work in a live performance (I mean club, of course) where people just care about what they are hearing in the very short term; they don’t care about the structure, or where the performer/DJ leads them to, but they pay attention (hmm well, maybe not that much attention) to the sounds and the atmosphere created on the fly.

Out of a live context, yes I think it’s kind of messy :P — but great sounds!

I guess i’m of the same as SC mixer, this had a very mixed live feel for me so i didnt mind the seemingly random nature, all part of the event. My only negative is that I would have liked it to have gone completely crazy towards the end—but ive said that before on another of yours so maybe you just have different ideas/direction. Good stuff though.

This is good stuff. Dark, mysterious and constantly evolving keeping the listener involved. Allot of this stuff can get repetitive and boring but not here. Nice work!
