My favorite moody Canadian est returnee! I am a huge Orwellian essay fan, but don’t remember this one (have you read his accounts of being vagabond and homeless in Paris and London?). Anyway, the cool thing about this is all the swirly micro-tonal harmonics, and the conversion of voice into percussive harmonic instrument. Another DL for the EL train playlist.

There’s something in this same book about his staying in a hospital ward for the poor somewhere in France. The book itself is just one of those random $10 Penguin collections that I picked up in Newfoundland to pass the time.

Good experimental track. I also like experimenting with vocoders, since they can bring you much further than the classic effect heard in the 80’s if used with fantasy. We have so many weapons in our hands, sometimes we should explore them more deeply rather than just producing songs. Therefore I consider a great man the one who does it.
