Slowing it down works really well, nice piano and a very good mix (would never have guessed it was your first!)

What I know about mixing would fit on a pin head. But I think this is so pretty and poignant, JE, and I will be giving you a recommend when I get on a pc I don’t share with oD. He’s got there first!

good remix, although it would be awesome if you uploaded just your vocal part. Awesome job with the pitch matching with what sounds to be a falsetto or maybe you can just sing that high. It’s sweet dude.

I can throw up my backups I guess, I didn’t think anyone would want them because they’re so specific to this mix…but if you think you can use them, I’ll share. :) And thank you kindly. I most definitely can sing that high, and maybe I will again sometime. XD

Very nice JE.
You have the rare gift of sticking to click overall but mixing it up. Your vocals are the same. Your definitely not a robot, so you go girl! S x PS love ya tags “catatonic”? Sounds like some bad medicine - must try some ;-) |
.
Thank you very much Scomber. I usually record without a metronome because if I *do* use one, I go a little robotic and I think it’s just a little more fluid that way. Shannon’s vocals in this were very precise seeing as the original is more folk/rock-ballad than…whatever the hell I turned it into.Quote: ScomberPS love ya tags “catatonic”?
Sounds like some bad medicine - must try some ;-)Catatonia is in this case just me making fun of myself. Moves so slow you wouldn’t know it went anywhere at all, I guess. :) |

Beautiful take. It’s quite uncommon to listen to a girl playing and singing over another girl. The sounds are minimal, yet effective. I like this (and I frankly didn’t like the pella..). Catatonic, ah ah! Go on
|
.
Thank you for saying. :) This pella was challenging because the original recording is in a style that I don’t “do”…but I could hear this whole other song underneath so I decided to play it. Haha…thank you for your kind words. Production is an uphill battle for me most of the time so it’s tremendously gratifying to hear nice things said about it.

I thought I would visit you while I do some lunch time wandering through ccM, and I am so glad that I did! What a lovely treat! Delicious take on this song, and I LOVE THE HARMONIES! More harmonies! I’ve noticed lately that people are asking for harmonies more and more often, girl you can deliver! Your voice, as always is beautiful. Thanks!
