at first, the midiness turned me off a bit in the intro but you grabbed me when the drums came in, and this fits the vocals pretty well like you mention. there was this brit pop band named “james” years ago, thats what this reminds me of in the verses. nice mix though. fully arranged and well put together and the vocal track really fits well. very cool arrangement with the horny, scratchy bridge.

I like it. The sax, hammond(ish) solo, 60s sound, and that reverb on my voice! Is that really me? Sounds great. It’s strange (to me) to hear it without the ‘I’m not strong enough’ refrain which just sneaks in at the end, but the effect is great. Very catchy.
